The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Nicotra to find qualified candidates for a Room Attendant at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island, NY. With more than 700 locations worldwide, Hilton Garden Inn is focused on providing a positive and comfortable guest experience.

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms and areas according to established standards and procedures. Duties include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash. Room Attendants are assigned a minimum of 14 rooms per shift and are expected to maintain quality, accuracy, and attention to detail while working efficiently.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms and areas according to established standards.
• Make beds and complete general room cleaning.
• Dust and vacuum assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Remove trash and maintain clean, guest-ready rooms.
• Follow company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with staff and guests.
• Complete a minimum of 14 assigned rooms per shift.

• At least 6 months of professional cleaning experience required.
• At least 6 months in your most recent position required.
• Must be able to account for employment gaps, excluding gaps related to COVID-19.
• Must have a reliable plan for commuting to work and arrive on time every day.
• Professional appearance and demeanor required.
• Must be able to accept and respond appropriately to constructive feedback.
• Basic housekeeping knowledge and strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; Spanish-only speakers may be considered.
• Must have open availability to work all required shifts.
