Position Overview

The Branch Operations Lead supports daily branch operations and works closely with the Branch Manager, branch employees, and One Chase colleagues. The position helps ensure customer financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while following banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role provides exceptional client service, assists with client concerns, educates clients about self-service and digital banking options, and refers clients to appropriate banking specialists. The Branch Operations Lead also supports the branch team and helps set a positive tone for both clients and employees.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager with daily branch operations.
  • Provide exceptional client service and build trusted relationships.
  • Greet clients and manage lobby flow and waiting queues.
  • Assist clients with transactions and resolve concerns efficiently.
  • Manage cash operations, including the vault and ATM.
  • Maintain transaction accuracy and strong operational controls.
  • Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support loss prevention, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Educate clients on self-service and digital banking options.
  • Identify client needs and make appropriate referrals to banking specialists.
  • Keep branch employees informed about policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a welcoming branch environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail banking experience required.
  • 6+ months of Associate Banker (Teller) experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required.
  • College degree or military equivalent preferred.
  • Experience handling transactions and cash accurately.
  • Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, loss prevention, and risk awareness.

Pay Range

USD $28.75 - USD $35.05 /Hr.
