Position Overview

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides support to individuals who need assistance with daily activities and personal care. Responsibilities may include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, walking, and other everyday tasks. PCAs may also help maintain a safe and clean environment, provide companionship, and communicate with family members or supervisors about the individual’s needs. The position requires patience, responsibility, good communication, and a commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with eating, walking, and other daily activities.
  • Help maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide companionship and support to clients.
  • Communicate with family members or supervisors about client needs.
  • Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Treat clients and coworkers with dignity and respect.
  • Attend required training and maintain punctual attendance.

Requirements

  • No previous work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be reliable and responsible, have good communication skills, and be willing to learn.
  • Must have a genuine interest in desire to provide quality care to clients.
  • Candidates must provide a state-issued ID, Social Security Card, proof of address, and two references.
  • There will be 1 week of unpaid training with mandatory attendance. You may not miss any training dates. Please ensure your attendance and punctuality.

Pay Range

USD $19.86 - USD $19.86 /Hr.
