Position Overview

The Deputy Project Director supports the Project Director in overseeing daily program operations, case management, customer service, and enrollment functions. This leadership role works closely with staff and department leaders to improve service delivery, manage operational performance, and ensure program goals are achieved. The position also coordinates reporting, outreach efforts, and communication with partners while supporting continuous process improvement.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee case management, enrollment, and customer service operations.
  • Implement policy and procedure changes and support change management efforts.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff and department teams.
  • Coordinate outreach activities and service delivery across program teams.
  • Monitor operational metrics and prepare quarterly reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Income Maintenance (IM) case-related issues.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve processes and support program development.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, oversee outreach strategy, and serve as the Management Information System (MIS) liaison.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services, Business, or a related field.
  • Five years of management experience; or an associate degree (or equivalent experience) with six years of supervisory or management experience leading a team.
  • Must be process-driven, analytical, and solution-focused.
  • Knowledge of community resources and familiarity with human services, vocational rehabilitation, disability issues, and related services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid New York State driver's license in good standing and ability to meet company driving requirements required.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Pay Range

USD $34.61 - USD $34.61 /Hr.
