The Sales Associate provides exceptional customer service while supporting daily store operations and sales. This role assists customers with product selection, processes purchases and returns, maintains an organized sales floor, and helps create a positive shopping experience. The position also supports merchandising, inventory, and omnichannel order fulfillment while promoting company programs and maintaining a professional, customer-focused environment.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately using the POS system.
• Promote JCPenney credit cards, rewards programs, and gift cards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout areas.
• Assist with merchandising, recovery, inventory, and omnichannel order fulfillment.
• Follow safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Meet customer service, sales, and attendance expectations.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance while providing a welcoming shopping experience.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a reliable, positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move merchandise as needed.
• At least 6 months of retail experience is preferred.
• Must have open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
