The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with The Central Family Life Center to find qualified candidates for a Program Director – COMPASS Afterschool Program in Staten Island, NY. The Central Family Life Center provides programs that strengthen families and promote community well-being through education, youth development, and community services. The organization is committed to providing safe, structured, and enriching opportunities for children while fostering strong partnerships with families, schools, and the community.

• Manage the daily operations of the COMPASS Afterschool Program.
• Develop and monitor enrichment programming aligned with DYCD, SACC, and agency standards.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff.
• Conduct staff meetings, provide coaching, and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Ensure compliance with DYCD, SACC, OCFS, DOE, and agency policies and requirements.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and submit required reports on time.
• Build relationships with families, schools, community partners, and DYCD representatives.
• Coordinate family engagement activities, workshops, field trips, and special events.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Youth Development, Public Administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in youth development, afterschool, education, or community-based programs required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience working with school-age children and families required.
• Strong knowledge of DYCD, SACC, OCFS, or other youth program compliance requirements required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems required.
• Familiarity with DYCD-funded programs, experience with program reporting and contract compliance, and bilingual ability (Spanish, French Creole, or other commonly spoken languages) preferred.
