Position Overview

The Customer Service Associate is expected to model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. They are responsible for registering sales on assigned cash register, as well as providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. They are also expected to assist with various tasks throughout the departments (store upkeep, stock, etc.), as directed by management.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, courteous service.
  • Assist customers with locating products and answering questions.
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and basic customer concerns.
  • Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items.
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures.
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Promote store programs, promotions, and loyalty initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math and cash handling ability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and follow company policies and procedures.

Pay Range

USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
