Position Overview

Counter Staff are responsible for delivering exceptional, haimish customer service while preparing and presenting gourmet food. Duties include slicing smoked fish, building sandwiches, wrapping products, maintaining food displays, and working the POS system. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing retail role requiring speed, accuracy, and a strong knowledge of food.

Key Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with professionalism and warmth
  • Provide full product knowledge on smoked fish, baked goods, caviar, and other delicacies
  • Slice smoked fish and prepare orders according to standards
  • Operate POS system and handle transactions with accuracy
  • Package and merchandise products with attention to detail and brand standards
  • Clean and maintain workstations and food handling equipment
  • Brew coffee and maintain beverage stations
  • Rotate inventory and maintain product freshness using FIFO and Julian dating
  • Maintain DOH compliance and high internal cleanliness standards
  • Participate in tastings and product education

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
